Did April Showers Bring May Flowers?

Dear Lord,

It’s already May! Thank you for these first few months of 2024. It feels like the year is flying. As the weather gets warmer, the sun shines, and the world rejuvenates, let this summer warmth reflect in our souls and on our lives. I pray for revitalization in our hearts and in our spiritual lives as well. As the rush of the summer starts, quiet our minds and help us to set our sights on you. Grant us rest amongst the restlessness. I pray this month that we are able to embrace slowness with joyful hearts and an understanding that you are working all things out for our good and Your glory.

Notice how this verse says, “He MAKES me lie down in green pastures”. Rest is necessary! He will herd you into a state of rest, in a safe place!
